FOREST

Chapter 4: Apologies
Serena
lay Martin down in her bed. She covered
him and kissed him tenderly on the forehead. She looked down on his sweet,
innocent face and smiled.
“Sleep
well, Luv,” She said softly.
Lugging
Martin home had left her clothes a bit funky.
She quietly stripped, intent on taking a quick shower when there came a
knock on her front door. She sighed and
quickly slipped into a fresh set of clothes, shorts and a halter top, then
tiptoed out of her bedroom, closing the door behind her, and went to answer the
knock.
She
opened the door to find a tall wolf clad in a red shirt and baggy pants. He wore a pair of dark sunglasses and
clutched a tattered map in his hands.
Serena felt her heart skip a beat.
“Who
are you?” she asked, then, recovering her manners a little, “Can I help you?”
“I’m
Thomas...Thomas Wolf,” The wolf said in a deep, yet pleasant voice.
He
looked up from the map and over the top of his sunglasses. His eyes bulged out behind the glasses and
his tongue lolled out of his mouth as he beheld Serena.
“How
do-o-o-o-o-o you do!” He mock howled before rolling his tongue back up into his
mouth.
“F-fine,
thank you,” Serena said, somewhat taken aback by the wolf’s reaction to
her. “May I help you?”
“And
just what is a pretty lady-fur like yourself doing cooped up inside on a lovely
day like today?” Thomas asked.
“Watching
someone,” Serena said, blushing slightly.
“Babysitting?”
“Ummm,
not exactly.”
“...Or
is someone feeling poorly?”
“Something
like that,” Serena said.
Thomas
continued to look oddly at Serena, almost longingly.
“I’m
sorry to hear that,” Thomas said sympathetically. “Nothing serious, I hope?”
“That’s
what I’m hoping,” Serena said, glancing back to her bedroom door.
“You
wouldn’t be busy this evening, would you?” Thomas asked suddenly.
“Why’s
that?” Serena asked.
She
knew that she would be looking after Martin tonight, but she half hoped that
this wolf was asking her out.
“I
was just imagining how lovely you would look walking in the moonlight along the
lakeshore,” Thomas said with a sincere smile.
“That’s
very kind of you,” Serena said, genuinely flattered. “Thomas was it? But I’m
afraid I’ll have to refuse...I’m needed here right now. I’m sorry.”
“Darn,”
Thomas said, snapping his fingers in disappointment. “And here I was hoping to get to know you better.”
“I’m
sorry but thank you for the offer,” Serena said with a sweet smile. “Perhaps another time. By the way, my name is Serena.”
“Serena....”
Thomas said dreamily, letting her name roll off his tongue. “What a lovely name. But then I should have expected such a name
to be attached to such a lovely creature.”
Serena
smiled and blushed.
“Well,
I’m sorry to cut this short,” Serena said sincerely. “But I need to go check on my friend.”
Thomas
took Serena’s hand in his and gave it a long slow lick. Serena giggled.
“Of
course,” Thomas said in and understanding tone. “If you could just point me in the direction of Rutwell
Forest....”
“You’re
in it,” Serena said.
“I
am?” Thomas asked holding up his map.
Serena
looked at the map and saw that it was a map of New York City. She put her hand to her mouth to stifle a
giggle.
“Yes
you are,” Serena said. “This is Rutwell
Forest.”
“Then
I am doubly pleased to make your acquaintance, Serena,” Thomas said with a
grateful smile. “Thank you. I’ll not keep you from your friend any
longer. I do hope to see you around.”
“You
too, Thomas. Bye-bye!”
Serena
closed the door gently and went back to her bedroom to look in on Martin. She found him awake and sitting up in the
bed, crying bitterly into his hands.
She went quickly over to him, her face a mask of concern. She sat down quietly next to him. He looked up, a look of fear on his
face. He tried to speak, but all he
could manage was a frightened squeak.
“It’s
all right,” Serena said softly as she wiped a tear from Martin’s eye. “You have every right to feel this way. I want to apologize....”
Fresh
tears spilled from Martin’s eyes.
“I...I’m
so sorry,” Martin managed to squeak out in a tiny, almost terrified voice.
“What
for?” Serena asked, continuing to dry his tears.
“All...All
the terrible things I d-d-did.”
“You
remember?” Serena asked.
Martin
nodded in shame.
“It’s
all right,” Serena said, a slight, consoling smile on her lips. “You weren’t yourself. Everyone forgives you. Only...You do need to apologize to Sly
before he goes and tells Beuford.”
Martin
nodded. Serena held him tenderly and
closely. Martin trembled in her arms.
“I...I
just thought if I were...Were more of a mink,” Martin began haltingly.
“Thought
what?” Serena asked.
“That
I c-could stand up for myself.”
Serena
looked Martin in the eyes and smiled warmly.
“Being
the shy one you are,” She said gently.
“You have a choice whether you want to change or not. You don’t need magic for that...Just your
own intuition.”
“But
I have to know,” she said, her tone becoming serious and soft glowing blush
spreading on her cheeks. “When you said
to me that...you ...you know. Did you
mean it?”
Martin
looked at her, trembling visibly.
“You
can be honest,” She encouraged him.
“Whatever you say will be okay.”
“Serena,
I...I...I....”
“When
I said it,” Serena continued, her heart in her throat. “I meant every word.”
Martin
met Serena’s gaze. In that moment, all
his nervousness and fear vanished.
“I
love you, Serena.”
“You...You
really do?”
Martin
nodded.
Serena
felt as though she could walk on air.
She wanted to laugh and cry all at once. She wrapped her arms around him tightly, tears of joy spilling
from her eyes. Martin embraced her as
well, holding her just as close as he could.
She nuzzled him and purred happily.
“I’m
so sorry about Fettish,” She said at length.
“It wasn’t intentional.”
“I
was so...So jealous when I saw him...Saw him with you,” Martin said.
“Well
it doesn’t matter any more,” Serena assured him. “You’re the only fur for me.”
“But
I did such terrible things to you and the others.”
“It’s
all right, that’s all over now.”
“But....”
The
whistle of the teakettle in the kitchen interrupted Martin.
“Come
with me,” Serena said as she got up from the bed.
Martin
followed her out into the living room like a condemned prisoner walking to the
gallows. She had him sit on the couch
while she went to the kitchen. The
Faerie mouse was happily fluttering in and out of the steam cloud from the
teakettle. Serena prepared two cups of
tea then poured the hot water into the cups.
The Mouse fearie gave Serena a miffed look for interrupting her steam
bath.
“I’m
sorry,” Serena smiled as she replaced the teakettle on the burner. “There you are.”
She
returned to Martin, who didn’t look half as miserable as he had only a few
minutes ago. She handed him a cup of
tea and sat down next to him. As they
sipped their tea, Martin seemed to look better.
“I
know how things are in Rutwell,” Martin said at length. “I shouldn’t have been jealous of you and
Fettish. You accepted Monica, after
all...I should have been willing to do the same for you.”
“I
was jealous of Monica,” Serena admitted with a warm smile.
“I
won’t be jealous anymore, Serena...Now that I know how you feel. I promise.”
“I
love you so much, Martin,” Serena said, setting Martin’s and her cups
down. “The last thing I wanted to do
was hurt you.”
She
snuggled close and they embraced and kissed warmly. After a few minutes they parted.
“Anyway,”
Serena said. “We should go and find Sly
so you can apologize.”
“Okay,”
Martin said with a sigh of resignation.
“Although,
I did like what you did to him. About
time someone brought up the guts to do it,” Serena giggled.
Martin
and Serena walked along the trail to Sylvester’s home. They each held the hand of the other and
Serena rested her head on Martin’s shoulder.
Martin’s spirits improved tremendously as they walked through the
forest. Presently, they came upon Aroma
and Fragrance. The punk looking skunk
was leading her sister on a black leather leash attached to a black leather,
silver studded collar. Serena could only
blink in disbelief at the sight.
“Hi,
Martin...Hi, Serena,” Aroma said cheerfully.
Then turning to her sister, “Sit, Fragrance!”
The
demure skunkette quickly and obediently sat down on the grass.
“Hello,
Aroma...Hello, Fragrance,” Serena said.
“What
brings you two out on such a lovely evening?” Aroma asked.
“Looking
for Sly” Serena answered. Then smiling
at Martin, “And maybe a moonlit walk along the lake. Call me a romantic, but I just love doing things like that.”
Fragrance
tugged on the leash.
“Sis...”
she whispered urgently. “I really
hafta...”
“In
a minute,” Aroma said tersely. “That
does sound romantic, Serena. I wish I
could help so you could get to the good part sooner. But I’m afraid I haven’t seen Sylvester anywhere.”
“Sis...”
Fragrance pleaded.
“Oh,
all right,” Aroma gave in.
Fragrance
rose to a squat with her knees lewdly spread to expose her nethers. She quickly pried open her furry outer lips
and began to urinate in a strong, steady amber stream. She sighed softly in relief. Martin caught himself looking and looked up
into the trees, a dark blush on his cheeks.
“So,
why are you looking for Sly?” Fragrance asked, apparently taking no notice of
her sister’s display, but grinning a small mischievous grin at Martin’s
reaction.
“Long
story...” Serena said, doing her best to ignore the Skunkette relieving herself
right in front of her. “I’d rather not
talk about it.”
“Fair
enough,” Aroma said. “We did see
Willomeena earlier today. She was
really acting weird.”
“Oh?”
Serena asked. “How so?”
“She
was all...Well, shy and stuff,” Aroma said.
“Not her usual self at all. It
was creepy.”
“Maybe
it’s better that way,” Serena said, noting in spite of herself that Fragrance
was still peeing strong and steady, as if she’d been saving it all day.
“So
you’re in your new place now?” Aroma asked, noting Serena’s attempt to ignore
her sister.
“Yes,”
Serena said. “It’s very lovely.”
“So
when’s your housewarming orgy?”
“Housewarming...Orgy?”
Serena blinked, not sure she had heard correctly.
“Yeah. It’s a tradition here in Rutwell,” Aroma
said. “We all get together, welcome the
new kid on the block, party all night, play twister and other ...`party games’
“Hmmm...”
Serena said thoughtfully. “Sounds like
fun.”
Fragrance
finally expelled the last of her bladder’s contents with a soft, almost
rapturous sigh of relief.
“Oh
it is,” Aroma assured Serena.
“Anyway,
Martin and I are off,” Serena said. “It
was nice talking to you.”
“And
to you,” Aroma said. “Let us know when
the orgy is.”
“I
will.” Serena promised, then tugged on Martin’s arm. “Come on luv.”
Martin
nearly tripped over his own feet because he was still looking up at the
trees. Serena giggled softly and
nuzzled his arm.
“I’m
sorry Serena,” Martin apologized. “But
she was...Ummm....”
“That’s
all right, luv,” Serena assured him.
Martin
snuggled up close as they continued walking.
Serena smiled and purred softly.
Shortly
they reached Sylvester’s residence. The
Tattle-snake’s home consisted of a large rock in the center of a small
clearing. A bell rope and a mailbox
bearing the legend, Sylvester Svengalli Serpent Esq., were the only indications
that anyone lived there.
“This
is it,” Martin announced. “He lives
under the rock.”
Martin,
looking more than a little nervous walked up and pulled on the bell rope. The chime played out the first few notes of
‘Nearer My God To Thee’. Serena smiled
and suppressed a giggle. A minute
later, Sylvester slithered out from under the rock.
“This
had better be good!” the tattle-snake hissed crossly.
“Uhhh...Hello,
Mr. Sylvester, sir,” Martin said.
“GHAAAA!!!”
Sylvester coiled up in terror when he saw Martin, his tattle-tail tattling
away.
“I...I’m
here to say h-h-how s-sorry I am for... For the way I behaved t-today,” Martin
apologized.
“You
should be you...You...Social deviant!”
Sylvester hissed, regaining some of his pompous composure. “If your very kind friend here hadn’t come
along, I might have suffocated!”
Sylvester
turned to Serena.
“Madam,
I beseech you once more...Have nothing to do with this perverted wretch. He will only bring you trouble.”
“He
apologized like I said he would,” Serena said crossly. “The least you could do is accept it.”
“For
your sake, dear lady-fur, I will.”
Sylvester
turned once more toward Martin.
“I
accept your apology, Martin,” Sylvester hissed pompously. “Perhaps there is some hope for you yet.”
“That’s
more like it,” Serena said.
“I
am nothing if not a snake of my word,” Sylvester hissed proudly.
“Th-thank
you, sir,” Martin said.
“Just
don’t let it happen again,” the snake hissed.
“Good evening. And good evening
to you, too, Miss Kitty.”
“Good
evening, Sylvester,” Serena said as the Serpent slithered back under his rock.
Martin
sighed and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Serena kissed him. Martin smiled
sheepishly.
“You
did good,” she said.
“I
saw that!” Sylvester hissed from under his rock.
“M-maybe
we should go,” Martin suggested.
“W-would you l-like to walk down by...by the lake?”
“I’d
love to,” Serena said.
Martin
smiled brightly and offered her his arm.
Serena took it and snuggled up against him as they walked. Martin tried to nonchalantly flip his tail
up over her shoulders, but failed miserably at the nonchalant part. Serena paid it no mind and wrapped his tail
over her shoulders.
The
sun had set and the moon had risen full and bright by the time they reached the
lake. The moonlight danced on the
gently rippling waters and the soft lapping of the waves along the shore was
almost musical. Serena smiled in
appreciation as she looked around. The
forest behind them was shrouded in shadows.
Rocks and logs dotted the shore.
In the distance, she could just make out the lights of a house.
“Beautiful,”
she sighed softly.
“Y-y-y-you
sure are,” Martin sighed dreamily.
Serena
smiled, the moonlight highlighting her face in that just perfect way.
“W-would
you l-like to s-s-sit for a while?” Martin asked.
Serena
smiled and nodded. Martin picked out a
comfortable spot with a nice view of the lake.
“Lovely,”
Serena said as she snuggled next to Martin.
“Mmmm
Hmmm,” Martin agreed as he put his arm around her. “I like the lake at night...Just the soft lapping of the water on
the shore...the light on the water....”
Serena
cuddled up close to Martin. She felt
him tremble.
“What’s
wrong?” she asked.
“I
keep thinking...about what happened at...at Cleo’s.
Serena
smiled and shook her head gently as she held him close.
“Hush
now,” She said softly. “It’s all right.”
Serena
noticed a bright streak shooting across the sky and pointed out to Martin.
“Oh
look,” She said excitedly. “A shooting
star! They say if you make a wish when
you see a shooting star, it will come true.”
Martin
looked up at the streak of light in the night sky then closed his eyes. Serena snuggled up against him. Martin lay his head against hers and sighed
in contentment.
“What
did you wish for?” Serena asked coyly.
“Ummm...F-f-for...Uhhh...”
Martin stammered with a sheepish grin.
“Wellll...?”
“F-for
you...And...And Monica and me t-to be happy t-together.”
“I
think that one has already come true,” Serena said with a smile.
“It...It
was all I could think of,” Martin said.
“It’s
all right, luv,” Serena giggled. “I
made a wish a long time ago. I wished
to find someone that I could love and cherish always.”
“D-d-did
it come true?” Martin asked innocently.
“I
think so....”
Serena
scooted up and kissed Martin deeply.
Martin melted into the kiss and slowly explored her mouth with his
tongue. They held each other and the
kiss for several long minutes. Serena
released the kiss and looked into Martin’s eyes. They seemed in a dreamy fog as Martin continued to kiss the empty
air. Serena giggled and nuzzled his
chest. Martin caressed her shoulders,
causing her to purr softly. Rolling her
slightly to her side, Martin laid his head against her throat and upper chest,
listening and feeling the soft rumbling there.
Serena could feel all the tension drain from the mink as he nuzzled her
upper chest. She felt him gently caress
her belly. Now it was Serena’s turn to
relax as Martin continued lightly caressing her belly. She lay limply against him, her purring
growing louder and stronger. They lay
together, touching, caressing and kissing.
Time seemed to loose all meaning.
Serena
began kissing slowly down Martin’s chin to his neck, to his chest. Martin was in Heaven, he moaned softly in
the back of his throat as she trailed her kisses down over his stomach. She unsnapped his pants and lowered the
zipper. Martin’s minkhood popped free
of its confinement and stood erect and throbbing in anticipation. Serena smiled and kissed the base of his
warm, turgid shaft before taking him gently in hand and lightly brushing his
length with her fingers. Serena noticed
a spark of oddly familiar red light where her fingers brushed along Martin’s
shaft. Martin groaned softly in
pleasure, digging his fingers into the ground.
She kissed the tip of his love tool as the light followed her fingers up
and down his shaft. Serena suddenly
remembered where she had seen this odd light.
And she remembered Cleo’s words...‘I do so hate to see good passion go
to waste’. As the brightness of the
light continued, Martin’s moans and sighs of pleasure grew louder and more
intense.
She
took the tip of his shaft in her mouth and sucked gently on it as she continued
to stroke him. Then she licked along
his length while stroked and played with his balls. She could feel him begin to tense up, signaling that he was
quickly approaching release. Serena
smiled and stopped her manipulations of his minkhood, moving up to kiss him
gently. She stood up and began to
slowly remove her shirt and slide her shorts slowly off. Martin was fascinated by her display but
whimpered piteously.
“What’s
the matter?” Serena asked teasingly as she stood over him.
“Y-you
st-stopped...” Martin whimpered.
“I
was just removing my clothes,” Serena said as she knelt down next to him once
more.
She
began stroking him once more. The
lights returned and Martin was once more awash in pleasurable sensations. Suddenly the light flared around Serena’s
hand and was drawn into Martin’s shaft and his furry sack. His thighs tensed up and a moment later his
passion erupted in hot thick ribbons of creamy white seed that splashed back
down over Serena’s hand and arm. Serena
lapped at the tip as his climax slowly ebbed.
Martin panted softly as Serena climbed onto his lap and kissed him
deeply. Serena raised her hips and
slowly seated herself on his still turgid shaft. She savored the feeling of being filled with her lover’s hard,
hot flesh. She smiled and began to ride
him.
Martin
groaned softly, calling out her name and caressing her thighs as she rode his
shaft. Serena panted softly as her
pleasure began to build. Martin began
to thrust with her, filling her love tunnel completely each time their hips
met. Serena peaked quickly, throwing
her head back and moaning loudly as she continued to ride him hard, impaling
herself again and again on his hard throbbing shaft of mink maleness. Martin gripped her hips and pulled her down
against him with each upward thrust.
“Serena!”
Martin called out as his passion gripped his genitalia, urgently demanding
release. “Oh yes, Serena! YESSSS!!”
She
felt his passion gush into her belly again and again. She came again, holding onto his waist and pulling her sex
tightly against his groin as her contractions milked his turgid shaft of all
his seed.
Serena
let his shaft slip slowly from her body and purred softly in the afterglow as
they hugged each other close, kissing and nuzzling.
“I
love you so much, Martin,” Serena purred.
“I
l-love you too, Serena,” Martin said shyly.
They
continued to cuddle for some time, until a chilly breeze blew up off the
lake. Serena shivered.
“A-are
you cold, Serena?” Martin asked.
“Yes,
I am,” she said.
Martin
held her closer and wrapped his tail around her. Serena smiled contentedly, feeling a little warmer.
“It...It
is getting late,” Martin said reluctantly.
“Maybe I should take you home.”
Serena
certainly did not want to go home, but decided that, perhaps, Martin was
right. They stood up and Martin’s pants
fell about his ankles. Martin let out a
startled ‘eep’ and covered himself.
Serena giggled and pulled his pants up for him. She turned around and bent over to pick up
her clothes while Martin secured his pants.
She glanced back at him to find him staring appreciatively at her
exposed backside. She grinned
mischievously and wiggled her rump at him playfully. Realizing he’d been caught looking, Martin blushed and quickly
turned around.
“I’m
s-s-sorry, Serena!” he said quickly. “I
didn’t mean to look!”
Serena
giggled as she dressed quickly. When
she had finished, she turned him toward her and kissed his nose.
“I...I’m
being silly again, aren’t I?” Martin said, his cheeks flushing redly.
“Yes
you are,” Serena giggled. “But that’s
what I like about you.”
Martin
smiled broadly and offered her his arm.
When she had taken it, he draped his tail over her shoulder and they
walked unhurriedly along the lake shore.
At length, they reached Serena’s cottage.
“Would
you like to come over for breakfast tomorrow?” Serena asked Martin as they
stood on her porch. “I’ll make
pancakes.”
Martin
nodded enthusiastically and licked his lips.
Serena kissed him then stood watching him until he had disappeared into
the forest. She sighed softly with a
smile on her lips before turning and going into her home.
